DAN OLSEN
Dan Olsen was one of six players to successfully complete all three stages of PGA Tour Q-School in 2003. His 12th place finish in the physically and emotionally grueling competition was quite an accomplishment - he earned his Exempt Status on the PGA Tour for the 2004 Season. Now known as one of the longest drivers on the PGA Tour, Dan is enjoying his new career as a professional golfer.
Dan began golfing at an early age when he took a job at a nine-hole course across the street from his childhood home in East Lansing, Michigan. As his exposure to the sport increased, so did his passion for the game. To this day, Dan recalls his first career birdie at age 12 as his biggest thrill in golf.
Prior to earning his PGA Tour exempt status, Dan played primarily on the Hooters Tour. Of the twelve events he entered in 2003, Dan made the cut in every event and enjoyed four top-10 finishes. In addition to playing numerous mini-tours, Dan has also worked in road construction, home building and even Christmas tree sales. When asked about his work selling trees, Dan once commented, "You know what, I was good at it."
Dan currently resides in East Lansing, Michigan with his wife Margarita, daughter Isabella, and son Christian.
