Born in Laurel, Mississippi, the youngest of ten children, Ralph Boston became one of the most versatile Track and Field athletes in the history of the sport, achieving national ranking in long and triple jumps, hurdles and high jump. In addition to his successive accomplishments in the '60, '64, and '68 Olympic Games, he won the US National Championship in long jump from 1961 to 1966. While a student at Tennessee State University, he came within two points of winning a National Team Championship single-handed. Today, he is President of ServiceMaster Services in Atlanta, GA. He continues to remain active in Community Services and is one of eight current and former Olympians assigned to raise the Olympic Flag during the Opening Ceremonies of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
